LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball will open the regular season Monday at home against Howard.
The No. 1 Jayhawks split a pair of preseason exhibition matchups heading into this game. Led by head coach Bill Self, they have the potential to earn both Big 12 Conference and national success this season. Fans have had the opportunity in October to enjoy Late Night in the Phog, and an exhibition game against Washburn, but this will be the first regular season game for Self and company in a newly renovated Allen Fieldhouse.
