Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder plans to step down, per ESPN. It was reported earlier this week that Snyder had been contemplating his future with the team, and had been in communication with Utah’s front office about his decision. With the latest report, it appears as though he’s come to the conclusion that his time with the Jazz is over.

Snyder, who has a .585 win percentage with the Jazz, has been in charge in Utah for eight seasons. During that time the Jazz have missed the playoffs just two times but haven’t reached the conference finals during his tenure. Snyder has helped transform Utah into a consistent playoff contender, but while they’ve been one of the best regular-season teams recently, that success hasn’t translated over to the postseason. Now the Jazz will enter a pivotal offseason in search of a new head coach.

CBS Sports will continue to update this story.
