The NFL has increasingly scheduled games on Christmas, a trend that has begun to rival the NBA’s long-standing dominance on December 25. Last year, three NFL games aired as Christmas fell on a Monday, drawing significant viewership away from the NBA’s marquee matchups.
This year, the league scheduled two more games, further challenging the NBA’s hold on what has traditionally been its most anticipated regular-season day.
