NBA DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for December 7 include Kevin Durant

The Indiana Pacers picked up just their second win of a seven-game West Coast road swing on Monday against the Golden State Warriors, and they conclude the trip on Wednesday against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Pacers rookie Andrew Nembhard scored a season-high 31 points to go with 13 assists against Golden State, but can you count on that level of production again on Wednesday for your NBA DFS lineups? Tyrese Haliburton has missed the last two games with a groin injury but is listed as questionable to play against the Timberwolves, as is center Myles Turner (hamstring).

Minnesota has been without one of its top players as well over the past few games in Karl-Anthony Towns, who will remain out until next month with a calf injury. In his absence, Jaylen Nowell has provided tremendous value in the NBA DFS player pool, and has averaged 22.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and a steal over his last three games off the bench. Before you make your NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS professional with over $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Tuesday, he highlighted Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell as one of his top NBA DFS picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Mitchell scored 43 points to go with six rebounds, five assists and four steals to return 67 points on DraftKings and 67.7 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to NBA action on Wednesday and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, December 7

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks is Nets superstar Kevin Durant, who is listed at $10,700 on DraftKings and $10,100 on FanDuel. In his last game against Boston on Sunday, Durant scored 31 points with seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. He has been particularly hot over his last six games and has averaged 33.2 points, seven rebounds, 5.8 assists and made 60.5% of his total shots.

The Nets are at home against Charlotte on Wednesday, and the Hornets are still without a number of their top players, like LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, and Dennis Smith Jr. Durant scored 27 points with eight rebounds and three blocks when the Nets played Charlotte earlier this season on November 5. As a visiting team this season, the Hornets have allowed opponents to score the fourth-most points at home, with 118.8 per game, so Durant should go off again.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga ($3,400 on DraftKings and $4,000 on FanDuel). Andrew Wiggins will miss his second consecutive game (adductor), clearing a path for Kuminga to pick up more minutes on Wednesday against Utah. In 23 minutes in his last game against the Pacers on Monday, Kuminga scored 10 points to go with four rebounds and two assists.

The added opportunity for Kuminga should be a welcome change after he didn’t even attempt a shot in the Warriors’ last game against the Jazz on November 25. He played 13 minutes in an 11-point Golden State win, and although he didn’t get any looks at the basket, he still grabbed three rebounds. When Kuminga has played between 20 and 29 minutes this season, he has shot 75% from the field, and averaged 13 points with 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He could very well clear 30 minutes on Wednesday with Golden State also sitting Steph Curry (ankle) and Draymond Green (hip).
