It’s not surprising that the No. 7 Marquette Golden Eagles are off to a 4-0 start in the Big East. But it’s at least an eye-opener that their opponent Tuesday night also hasn’t lost a conference game.
The Georgetown Hoyas (12-2 overall, 3-0 in the Big East) have won 10 of 11 games and are one of just three teams that have yet to drop a game in the league. Ed Cooley’s team is one of the most improved teams in the country after winning just two Big East games a year ago.
Led by freshman center Thomas Sorber, the Hoyas have four players averaging double figures. Harvard transfer Malik Mack had 26 points in a win over Xavier Friday night.
